Maxime Pierlot from A. Bergère joins us for a flight of their incredible grower Champagnes, which have been a house favorite at Maison Healdsburg since we opened. We have 14 seats available for the full flight, sitting down with Maxime at The Friend, and we will pour a shorter flight in the bar all evening long. The Bergère family has been farming in the area since 1848, with Albert Bergère creating the label in 1949. Albert’s grandson, Adrien, makes the wines these days, with longtime friend Maxime acting as their general export manager and traveling global ambassador.
Since joining the family business in 2014, Adrien has been pushing the envelope forward, experimenting in the cellar and fermenting all their lots separately. The experiments have paid off with wines that are precise and mineral-driven, with a deep sense of place.
